What is the last date for disbursal of salary and wages in Telangana state.

Payment Wages Act prescribes that wages (salary) shall be disbursed in the manner not more than once in a month. The dates generally not later than 10. But there are practices in some establishment to disburse on various other dates as may be published in their Standing orders. This mainly because closing of their attendance in the middle of the month. Practically some establishments having various branches located in farflung areas sharing the attendance particulars are not in time. Therefore, month attendance commence, say from 20th and ends with 19th of next month which means still salary is paid only for one full month not as per calendar but in this manner. Thus cut off dates can vary. Some Estts. pay on 30th or 31st of the same month or 1st of evey month.

As per Payment of Wages Act the dates are generally :

Less than 1000 Employees: Every month 7th.

More than 1000 Employees: Every month 10th.

Estts to which Shops & Commercial Estts Act and other acts is applicable, there again same are the guidelines but dates should be notified on the Notice Board and it should be followed.

The crux of the issue is atleast once in a month it should be paid. If any not following is at default.
