Dear Seniors,
We are planning to have an Independence Day celebration on 14th Evening instead of 15th as we want the employees to enjoy their holiday by being at home on 15th and also because 15th is friday and our employees will get three days off till sunday at a stretch.
We are receiving some resistance to this idea from some as they have an objection to having it on 14th (as it is a neighbouring country's Independence Day). Please advise that what should we do ?.
Regards,
Saurabh.

Dear Sir, Please don’t celebrate Independence day celebrations on 14th just for the convenience of your Employees.

You may celebrate it by saying Pre-Independance Day Celebration on 14th Aug

Dear friends,
It's customary, except in schools and colleges which used to assemble on 15th morning to hoist the national flag, many other offices celebrate/organise events and get-together on the eve of ID day on 14th and disburse. We should not consider this as celebrating some other country's ID. Every establishment is duty bound to hoist the tri-colour early morning on 15th after sun rise and before sunset and singing the national anthem. National flag can be hoisted everyday/anyday and the restriction is it should not be hoisted before sun rise and after sunset and lowered during sunset, in other words no flying during night.

i think this is the most stupiduous question raised for discussion....SIR.... CAN U ABLE TO DO UR BIRTH DAY ON ANY DAY AT UR CONVENIENCE,,, CAN U DO UGADI PONGAL OR DEEVALI AT UR RAMDAN OR CHRISTMAS AT UR CONVENIENCE TO GAIN USEFUL HOLIDAYS....
ACTUALLY THIS KIND OF PROPOSAL IS ITSELF IS AN ANTY NATIONAL THINKINKING... OFFENCE TO RESPECT OUR COUNTRY...
SO KINDLY STOP FURTHER OPINIONS REQUIREMENTS... THIS SIMPLE PROPOSAL IS ENOUGH TO PUT BEHIND THE BARS ALL THE RELAYED COMPANYY GENTLEMEN AS IT IS CLEARLY AGAINST TO THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.. AS THEY R CANBE CALLED AS ANTI SOCIAL ELEMENTS. I AM VERY SORRY TO SAY TO STOP FURTHER DISCUUSSION ON THIS FOOLISH THUGLAK PROPOSAL.. SE HOW STANDARDS HAVE BEEN DECREASING DAY BY ...DAY IN THE POLUTED MINDS OF WHITE COLLARED GENTLE MEN.

Dear friends,
It's unfortunate that some members use harsh words like 'stupid'. This is a forum for learning, and we have a mix of young and old, learned and just learning people. It's not appreciated to discourage them howsoever they are wrong or the query could be. Let us advise them in a manner befitting and restraint ourselves against use of discouraging undesirable tone and tenor.

oh its most unwanted . i unconditionally apologise all my friends . if they get annoyed on my feelings.
one thing think on your heart from the bottom of your heart.. celebrating INDEPENDENCE DAY
AS ANYONE" WHIMS AND FANCIES DOES ANYONE ACCEPT IT?. IS THIS THE WAY TO
SHOW OUR MINIMUM COURTESY TOWARDS THE NATION.. WE HAVE LIBERATED FROM
SEVERE CLUTCHES OF BRITISH CRUEL RULE. OUR FORE FATHERS EXPERIENCED ALL HUMILIATIONS FROM THE WHITE RULERS. THIS KIND OF QUIRIES ARE REALLY NOT QUIRIES. THEY ARE ONLY CHIT CHAT .OR MAKING PRACTICAL JOKES. THAT ARE LEGALLY AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA. ONE CANNOT DISCUSS ON THIS SOCIAL MEDIA. OK LEAVE IT.

Thanks for your suggestion ! All employees attended with positive spirits and participated in all events. We announced it as a get together and people accepted our invitation.

Thanks Seniors/Friends for your valuable suggestions ! We had a very nice event with full attendance. I have learned that it all about how you communicate to the employees. We had a Pre-ID celebration but, didn't hoist the Flag on 14th (few of us came and hoisted the Flag on 15th morning). It is unfortunate that some members use such disrespectful words in such a forum. It is important to respect all individuals in this forum to keep the objective of sharing and learning alive.

Saurabh.
