What exactly you need to know , kindly clarify.
Basically if youare going for interview for Payroll post then you must know, statutory requirements such as PF, ESIC, PT. How to make challans, when the half yearly , yearly returns are to be filed. Eligibility criteria for PF , ESIC . Also you should know the basic of Bonus , Gratuity Act. Also basic of The applicable act, means the company in which you will be going for an interview ( factory Act, Shop & Establishment Act etc)
Also the additional advantge will be knowledge of tax and filling of ETDS return.

hi know it ur time to cheers. Know basic things of PF esi gratuity,leave encashment, types of leaves leave encashment formula. etc .If further details u require in above topics i will guide u .IF ALREADY AWARE OF IT THEN KEEP IT UP CHEERS AND ALL THE BEST FOR UR INTERVIEW.

Never sit with cross legs in front of interviewer. be confident ( remember it's not school where teacher will scold u incase if u reply wrong) Be confident present u self in the best way. Be positive and if u donot know any thing just tell them sorry . Have a eye to eye contact. If there are 2 or in interview panel donot forget to wish each and every one. Row ur eyes towards others also. It will reflect ur confidence level. Let me know about your interview. Take care brightnen up urself go confidently and i am sure u will be thru.

for alll who are seeking payroll interview,
First off all you should be aware of present statutory compliances eg. Now ESI eligibility limit has been increesed to 15000/month, DA to 35% n so on.
uoy should also be aware of filing tds, esi challan ect. along with that you should nkow the 4 conditions of PF contribution when basic+da crosses 6500/m.
you should also know what are the components which contributes to OT, PT,ESI,HRA.
EG. In your salary basic is calculated towards HRA, but in case of tds BASIC+DA+Fixed % of commitin on turn over takes contribution. in esi OT contributes. n so on.
in payroll processing employee attendance data is of extreme imporatance as salary get aafected by attendance, like LWP/OT.
IN CASE of OT different co. gives compensation in differnt way. like double pay or extra off.
in case of attendace many co. use time management software so direct attedance get in payroll software.
if u r using payroll software u should specify all the formulae correctly. may b ur co. is having differnt policy for differant branches.
u should give correct entry towards Paid leaves, standing instructions, loan n advance deduction, ect.
