We have charged 4 workmen for "negligence of work " on the basis of supervisors report that they were not on the machine after reporting to duty and were found sleeping . We also have recordings on Surveillance camera showing the machine running in idle condition with date and time.
We have chargsheeted the workers involved and initiated enquiry.
Kindly comment.Kindly give case laws to strengthen our case.

This type of activities is happening in 24/7 environment industries.
You can sent them severe notice to them and also you can give them two or three days (Management decision) suspension memo for the activities. If it is happen first time you can take this action like this since they are affected the production also the productivity time.
"Negligence of work" will be punishable.
