Your question is not clear. VDA is fixed after considering CPI (consumer price indices) and each scheduled industry will have separate VDA for each point above certain point of CPI. It will be mentioned in the notification itself. While posting question, it is advisable to make it clear.

VDA is variable pay. It is linked to consumer price index. It is reviewed quarterly, half yearly, yearly or monthly vary from organizations to organizations. Even in minimum wages, the VDA is usually change half yearly. There is different base year for calculating VDA. Some money value is attached to change the VDA money value figure. It may be % wise, slab wise, per point increase value etc. etc. depending on VDA policy vary from organization to organization.
