labour inspector visits in our factory in the month of October, at that time the HR activity was handled by Accounts person. He was not aware about the requirements as per the act and not yet replied to the Inspection report. Fortunately the inspector not taken any action till date. now as i have joined recently and have to prepare all the requirement (right from attendance to renewal of license)
What should i reply to the inspector in first instant.
Please help

Has he given any inspection report? Generally when inspection takes place inspection report would be noted down in book or document of your establishment. Therafter, Notices would be issued for non compliance. If no such thing has happened, you are not required to give any reply.

At the time of Inspectors Visit no any remark is given by the inspector because we have not maintained any inspection register. but after few days he sent us copies of printed inspection remark.
Please guide

His remarks are as follows
Under Minimum Wages Act
not maintaining Muster roll cum wage register
Abstract of the Act
rates of wages paid to the workers are not as per the Minimum rate of wages
Under Contract Labour Act
renewal of license is not done
muster roll cum wage register in form II
rates of wages paid to the workers are not as per the Minimum rate of wages

You can send a communication to the Inspector saying that you have taken up the job recently and that you have gone through the remarks and initiated steps to comply with the same and that you would report compliance within a ........(state the time needed..........time and finally thank him.

In case the registers are not maintained from the date of registration but covered under ESI , PF then, what we can do now whether to maintain every record from the date of incorporation or any other way is there.. if so plz guide me..plz help me to solve this issue
