Dear Vicree,

There is nothing like a good or bad topic for the research. The quality of the research makes the paper good or bad.

Coming to your query. You can do the research on the following points:

a) COVID-19 pandemic has forced the employees to work from home. By working from home, has the productivity increased or decreased or remained the same?

b) Employees have started working from home. Has WFH increased the working hours? If yes then by what percentage?

c) Has WFH reduced the privacy of the work? Are the family members or children getting unwanted exposure to office activities?

d) Because of the WFH for a long time, is there weariness amongst the employees? If yes then how many per cent of the employee are happy to be working from home and how many happy to work from the office?

e) Has the insurance facility benefited the employees who suffered from COVID-19?

f) As employees suffered due to COVID-19, there could have been a discontinuity in the operations. What impact it caused on the operations?

g) Did the companies conduct any survey on the mental health of the employees? If yes then how did they do it? What steps did they take to improve their mental health?

h) Conflict is a part and parcel of the workplace. By working from home has the conflict reduced or remained the same or increased?

i) Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the companies are forced to do remote hire. Has the recruitment methodology been changed or remained the same? In the absence of physical interaction how the recruiting authorities read the body language of the candidates?

k) How companies are managing employee training? What is the difference between classroom training and virtual training?

The above points may not be in the desired sequence, nevertheless, you can make a sequence as per choice. If you take me as a co-author then we can work together.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar

Of course, the impact of covid 19 on HR practices is an incredible topic for your research. But make sure you study enough on this topic.

Take a look at some points you can include in your research paper:

How has COVID changed the role of HR professionals?
How has COVID increased the importance of HR automation?
How has COVID changed the future of human resources?
How has COVID exposed the inefficiencies of traditional HR management methods?

Not to forget, spend a good amount of time reading and understanding the pre and post-COVID times. You will find a host of blogs, articles and surveys on the internet.

All the best.
