Dear seniors,
I'm an MBA fresher from Anna University regular batch having cleared all my papers and juz waiting up to receive my course completion certificate. I'm quite desperate as I can't find jobs in HR except in some job consultancies. I have widened my job search but EXPERIENCE is all that blocks my way. How do I gain experience without getting a chance.I haven't got chances to attend campus placements as well. Where in the earth would I find an opening....PLZ B KIND TO ADVISE....

Ms Neethu.
There is a well know fear of not placed job which each & every fresher have specially an MBA Fresher now a days. But u really no need to fear as HR domain is really a fast growing domain.
Now, i would suggest u to work out on below things pl:
Try to be specific while searching for job in HR domain i.e. make ur choice whether u want to go for recruitment, pms, er, training etc. as it will lead u to a mind set where u will be able to analyze ur strength & weakness as well.
Register urself on various job portals, change ur CV each & everyday i.e. uploading the same CV everyday as it shows ur activeness towards effort.
Get urself updated with current openings in ur domain.
Try.. ...Try.. ...Try.. ...U will be succeed very shortly.

As our world is going through Economic Crisis, people, especially freshers will find a bit of Challenge in getting job. However, it will be good to build your own network and try to get a job within any available domain of HR, including Recruitment Consultancies.

From my past experience I would suggest that it is best to approach a job consultancy for getting a job.
You should go to justdial and get a list of top placement consultancies in your area. After this you can contact them and send them your resume.
There are some consultancies that charge from candidates also, but I think its fine to pay them some amount(usually 50% of your salary), if you think that the consultancy is genuine and the company in which they are placing you is good. These consultancies guarantee you job and you have to pay them only after you get your offer letter, so I don't think there is any harm in approaching them.
After my graduation, I had putted my CV on almost every job site, but was approached only by BPOs and consultancies. After that I approached a placement consultancy and finally have got a decent job.
