Dear Annie,
The acronym SWOT stands for Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat. The SWOT Analysis is done either for the company or for the individual. The former is done to prepare a strategic plan for the company whereas the latter for career development.
SWOT Analysis of an individual gives an insight into a person's career. How to encash on the strengths, what are the weaknesses and how these are holding a career back, what are the opportunities available to grow one's career and what could be the threat's to one career. However, this tool of career development is very specific to the individual and there cannot be a generalisation amongst the group of people. Therefore, it will not be prudent to assume that HR professionals have certain strengths or weaknesses so too you will have them.
Please apply the tool independently without bothering others. Earlier, there was a query on career development. To go through my reply, you may click here.
Thanks,
