Under contract labour (regulations and abolitions) Act, the contractor engages workmen for client's requirement. When on recruitment the Contractor do collect Aadhar card. Some times when in deployment, some workmen do not produce Aadhar card and produces only other ID card ( Driving licence) For other ID card, PF portal does not accept and hence PF could not be deducted. For those with Aadhar card, sometimes the date birth column will only the year of birth, and Aaadhar portal does not have any edit option to recover PF, for such cases also. For some the original date of birth entered in PF records would be based on earlier procedure based on school certificate, whereas in Aadhar card the date of birth would be different, and when claim for settlement goes, some of them could not produce the earlier certificate and only with the Aadhar document his PF claim could not be settled.
I feel the Provident Fund Authorities should include some edit options in the portal for better settlement of claim / or employees finding the ways to opt out PF coverage for such employees. Could any body suggest a method to overcome such embarrassment?
