Would like to ask about a situation
We had an employee who's salary was 27000/- gross now we want cover him under ESIC ..we can deduct his salary due to non performance but if we do the same PF amount will also be change... your opinion will be highly appreciated

Coverage under PF & ESIC is always based on notional salary not on actual salary received. Contribution is paid on actual salary received. Here the monthly gross of the employee ( notional ) is 27k. Therefore, under any circumstances the employee can not be covered under ESIC.
