Hi Guys,
Can anyone let me know the best places where we can find information on the Study of Psychology and its uses in upcoming HR area.
Is it neccessary to have a Degree in Psychology or are there any short term courses that can be studied.
What are the other areas in todays contemporary HR functions other than the regular HR.
Thanks & Regards

Hi Vani,
If you are looking for a distance education you can think of applying to the PGDHRM course of IGNOU, for which you can apply now. The filled in app form should reacg IGNOU by Nov 30 and the entrance exam will be on Feb 5 2006.
PGDHRM is a one year course.
And almost all universities offer PGD courses in HR or IR on a distance education.
Annamalai Univ offers MSc Applied Psychology (2yr course), which is a good course for OB and HR; it covers aspects of Industrial psychology.
TISS offers diploma and certificate pgsm in social work.
You can also opt for Intenational certifications, which could be done over the internet.

Hi Sree,
Thanks for the valuable informations give. At present Iam doing PGDHRM from LIBA, Chennai, but even though it covers the area of IR, Industrial Psychology is not covered anywhere.
I guess as you said will try out in IGNOU or annamalai university.
Thanks once again
Vani
