Hi,
I am an MBA (HR) with over 9 years of experience, mostly in recruitment process and some compensation and employee engagement. I wish to change the stream from Recruitment to core HR.
should I take training or course on Compensation and Benefits or Training, Learning and Development, Performance Management or an other if you guys suggest. Or should I just go for a SAP HCM functional kind of a course.
I just need to get this recruiter tag removed and need to advance in my career as strategic HR person.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,

hi Kunal ,

As i have mentioned in my other posts SAP HCM is a very good options and there are lot of opportunities .

Having said that getting a job in the current SAP HCM market could be very very difficult especially for freshers .

You seem to have a lot of experience in recruitment , but if you looking to get into SAP , Then you will need to understand the whole Recruitment process , all the phases in recruitment and how each of them work not just the functions of a Recruiter .

Also you have to keep in mind that SAP is an ERP(Enterprise resoure planning software) , a huge complicated software which is ever expanding , so you will have to learn a new software and would be required to understand client business processes and Configure these processes in SAP as per their requirements, you will be required to know different sub modules in HR (e.g Organization management, Personnel Administration , Performance management , Compensation management , e-recruitment, payroll , time management etc.).

I am not scaring you but this is the reality .

Also in its latest Cloud offering (Successfactors ) there are Recruitment modules like Recruiting Execution which you could learn BUT you could learn it only through a Partner Company (SAP Successfactors partners) & these Courses and Certification are very very costly .

you can find more details in the SAP /Successfactors website.

so as you see the path is not that easy , but if you are determined then you could definitely become a Consultant(future is definitely good).

So be ready to give your sweat and blood .

Best of luck .

Hope this answers some of your questions .
