Dear All,
I have been working on the roles of Secretary/Assistant/Stenographer with 13+ Years Experience. What could be the future growth options w.r.t. these profiles.
Idea for seeking help due to following reasons:
1) Seeking a Job Change from existing employer
2) No other employer can match present package
3) Not interested for relocation
Request your help for the betterment of my career.
Thanks,
JMir

Dear Jmir,
The reasons mentioned by you appear to me not reasons as such but only incompatible conditions or personal choices contradictory to each other. If you are seriously considering leaving your present employer, you should not impose the other two conditions. If no other employer in the same locality can offer you the same if not better package, not wise to leave the present employer. If you are not interested in relocation, no point in expecting either better package or growth option w.r.t your present profile.
My observation of many stenographers to officer-oriented job positions like Judicial Officers and my own experience as a Conciliation/Quasi-Judicial officer for many years effectively assisted by stenographers compel me to commend stenographers as highly intelligent and smart people among the ministerial staff. Their opportunity to closely move with several bosses over a period of time enables them to be effective listeners, analysts and experts in legal and departmental matters. Your growth options depend mostly on under whom you worked as a Steno/Secretary/Assistant. Here, I am not referring to individual officers but their positions - administrative or judicial and the like.
Anyway, in your excess of enthusiasm, do not forget the following two adages:
1) A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
2) You can not have the cake and eat it too.
