Dear Arup Kumar Pandit,

As of now, there is no such word called "off-boarding". However, assuming that it is the opposite of "on-boarding" when I checked Google, I found the meaning of off-boarding as the process that leads to the formal separation between an employee and a company through resignation, termination, or retirement.

In simple words, you wish to separate an employee from the organisation. But then why do you wish to do that? What is the cause of "forced separation"?

If you wish to off-board an employee because of underperformance or for some misconduct, then you need to order a domestic enquiry and based on the strength of the enquiry report, you may award a suitable punishment, which could be termination of the services.

You could be working in a private limited company; however, adherence to the principles of natural justice is mandatory while running its administration. Conducting a fair domestic enquiry before termination of the services of an employee is mandatory. Hence the recommendation.

Thanks,
