Rajendra - the answer is no. It is completely a matter of an employee's personal choice to select and upload names of the nominees to a PF account. They can access their PF account online on UAN portal and can upload/ edit details on their own.
Employers need not approve the names of the nominees in this case and need not interfere in this process.
