dear mr. rajenvs,
Reportable accident means if a person gets injured on duty and will not report his duty again till 48 hrs. from the current day of injury.
eg. if x person is in A shift, he injured and sent to hospital / other means / did not report in the same shift. He reports after 48 hrs. in next his regular duty. then it will become reportable accident as per Factories Act. As per OSHA standard, the time period is 24 hrs.
