i have taken up a new job in Mumbai... the employer is paying me 7,20,000 per annum... there is no break up for the same... can you please suggest me how can i save tax on this kind of salary structure.

Your tax works out to close to Rs. 124000 p.a. I have not counted company PF as do not know if company pays it. you have scope to invest Rs 1 lacs by saving in LIC etc.
