Hi,
I have joined last year in a company where i m still working as a HR. as per company policy, company will buy insurance for the employee after 1 yr completion.
When I ask my boss about the insurance, he said that I have to wait for the next renewal in april'14 as renewal last done in APRIL'13 of all staff when i didnt complete 1 year, which was supposed to complete in June'13.
Next year in June'14, i will complete 2 yrs in same company.
Being a HR, I have been fighting for my own rather than my staff....I felt that every partiallity is with me.(interms of appraisal month, salary & now insurance) after so much of HARDWORK & DEDICATION towards work.
What should I do now..? How to deal with this situation smartly without fight.?

The problem is that u spoke to your Manager abt this & you only got Tarikkh pe tarikkh..
Why u never spoke to the Manager's Manager.. one level up??? u should speak upfront to the higher authority via Email (Evidence)..
I hope u will be insured soon after this :)

What is your designation and what is the length of your total experience?

You are feeling let down because your boss did not clarify that the company renews the insurance policy only once a year i.e. in the month of April. So you need to wait till April 2014. This non-communication has demotivated you. What type of this insurance is? Is this group insurance?

Getting job in HR is not that easy. Ask your friends about their experience. Therefore, I recommend you foregoing this insurance issue and concentrate on your work. Take it as price of learning. Finally compromise is way of life!

The above statement is nothing but your frustration. You have clubbed other things with insurance. Please uncouple other issues. Consider them independently. Secondly, what you have written is your perception. We need to know the views of other side as well.

Have you taken feedback on what your boss wants? Have you taken feedback on the rating in your Performance Appraisal? Your salary was increased by what per cent? What was the average increase percentage in your company?

Cool down, take feedback and find out where there is scope for improvement. Possibly in the next year you may get highest increment!

My appraisal was due in June'13 as I joined on 25 of June'12.

we did increment/appraisal of other employees at the same time of the joining in 2012 who has joined on 25th of month. But when my appraisal was due, i was told by my boss that My Appraisal wud be from 1st July'13, and it was decided by Overseas Sr. management(Group MD).

When I wrote the mail to Sr.Management who sits in Overseas Branch, they said,India Branch head is responsible for all the appraisal decison. My Boss used to put everything on Group MD in every decison, and I am aware that Group MD is very nice person,he cant say anything as he is not looking after India Branch.

Appraisal was also not upto mark,but i convinced myself for the same.

According to them, if appraisal will be upto mark,then I will not get quartely incentive.

I have well rounded experience of 2+ years in HR & ADMIN having good exposure of working on all job-portals. I have strong communication & social skills.

I am handling HR,ADMIN & RECEPTION WORK also & Recruitment for Overseas Branches. I am as qualified, experienced as other staff in office who are getting more salary than me.

After the reply came from OVERSEAS MD, he said I made compalint of Him to MD..Suddenly changed his attitude that He was ready for 1st June -13 Increment.

I told him that "both of you are saying that other person is responsible for Appraisal & all" then who Is the right person to speak on this..?

Very Critical situation, I have faced..aftyer so much of fight, I got incrrement w.e.f 1st june;13.......now other issues(Insurance) is in picture again..!

Dear Smriti
First of all, you must be entitled for insurace from day one of your service. There is no reason why you should wait for completion of one year.
I assume that insurance provided by your organisation is a "Group Insurance". As per my understanding goes, it is designed in such a way that employee can join the scheme and leave the scheme any time during the year.
The policies are specificially designed to incorporate new joinees & people resigning from organisation. Its a win-win situation for the insurance companies.
I dont see any financial burden on your employer in adding you into the insurance scheme, its just his reluctance to do so.
Kindly revalidate your value in this organisation, are they trying to give you any hint that you are not needed.
Take a good decision for yourself

Always not recommend to spoke to the Manager's Manager. ofcourse the Manager's Manager do the benefit. But the same time Manager feel that he approached the top level Management.
This is my experience. Think about please.

Dear, Are you covered under ESI when your salary upto Rs. 15000/- or above it covers health policy.
