Hi,

Deputation allowances are Company specific.

Generally such Allowances are fixed by companies based on the location where the employee is deputed.. whether Metro or non metro. And also Grade and position of the deputed employee it all counts.

While fixing Deputation allowance you need to take into consideration whether the Client place is based within the city or out of city, whether travel required / accommodation is required etc.

What is traveling allowance? The allowance cover (Travelling expenses incurred in Plane, Bus, Train, Cab, Auto & Potter+Fooding expenses+ cost of boarding in hotels). All these expenses are fixed according to gradation of employee i.e, Non-executive, Executive and Manager. Prior to that HR department conducts a survey to know the market price of each component in the places where there employee would have to travel for promoting the company business. There after the rate of allowances are fixed for different categories of employee. Some incidental expenses to be considered. Many business houses run transit houses in the place of business to keep the cost low.
