Dear Pallavi,

The questions could be as below:

On Learning Curve: -

a) What steps do you take to avoid repetition of the mistakes that happen in the course of your work? Have you maintained any records to avoid repetition of the mistakes? If yes, what are those and how these were useful to you?

(This question is asked to check whether candidate learns from the past mistake or not. Many persons do not take any steps to avoid mistakes in future and they waste their time in sorting out the mistakes.)

b) Have you taken any formal training programme to improve your knowledge base? If yes, what type of that course was? What knowledge did you implement in your work? How you or your organisation was benefited because of this implementation?

c) Have you conducted any formal training for your subordinates? If yes, what steps did you take to build training skills in you?

(This question is bit deceptive. Candidate may feel that the question was about training but practically it is about learning attitude. Unless one has learning attitude, one cannot conduct any training.)

d) Have you read any books related to your work? If yes, then name the books? What did you like most about the books and what you did no like? Have you implemented any knowledge in your regular job?

On Working Under Pressure: -

e) In the course of your career have you passed through tough situation? If yes, what was the situation? How did you maintain your emotional control while passing through touch situation?

f) Do you face a situation where you do not get time to take breathe also? If yes, then what type of this situation is?

Handling Different Situations: -

g) Have you handled the job that are out of your regular work (like HR, Purchase, Marketing etc)?

h) Have you handled diverse type of jobs? If yes, what were those? What was your experience? What was your learning because of these assignments?

Hope the above questions are useful to you.

Final note: - Asking question to a job candidate is easy. Nevertheless, if you are conducting a job interview, then ask these questions to yourself first and find out whether you have answers. The above questions can be used for self-test also.

Thanks,

Hello, 1. Assign a new task. 2. Set a stipulated timeline. 3. Ask to quote the scenarios or achievements made on his/her role. Regards Chandana Hyma
