Hi,
I work at a company in which we have a branch in Bangalore India established. Our HR admn there has advised me the following on employment contracts:
"According to Indian Law we cannot make employee to work through contract for long time. Two year Contract which is made at the time of joining is completed. Further we cannot make them work under any such contract for some particular year but he will be our employee until they feel to resign."
This does not sound right to me? How can there not be a valid document whilst an employee works? How would you prove that employee is working for you after contract expires if not through renewal of contract?
Any help appreciated.
