Under the Persons with Disabilities Act, there is a Scheme of Incentive payment to employers in Private Sector for providing Employment to Persons with Disabilities.
This scheme is applicable to employers who engage employees with disabilities. According to this scheme an incentive is to be paid to the employer for such Persons with Disabilities appointed on or after 1.4.2008 with monthly wage up to Rs.25000/- per month. Government pay the employer’s PF share and ESI share for the first three years.
The administrative charges of 1.1% of the wages of the employees covered under the EPF&MP Act has to be paid by the employer.
