As per PF rule if basic is less than or equal to 6500 than PF deduction is mandatary. IF it is more than that basic amount than it is complusion to deducate PF without any information/will to the employee.

ya neha bt if basic is more the 6500/-then its all upto the org whether they want to give this facility to employee or not be coz if employer will give it to employee then employer's liability will increase.

Dear Neha,
Regarding new entrants if the basic+DA is more than Rs. 6500, enroll to EPF is optional subject to the willingness of both employer and employee. But if already registered with PF he has to continue till the end of service, even if the salary became above Rs. 6,500.
