Only Plantations,Software Industries, Categring industries have a few applicable exclusive one or two legislations otherwise all manufactuing units will come under common Labour Laws such as gratuity, ESI, PF, Factories Act etc.,

Basically in Tamil Nadu, the Standing Orders Act (if the unit does not have any CSO) Min. wages act (for Textile apprentices), Factories Act, ESI, EPF, Payment of wages act, etc are few acts to relating to Labour employment. There are other acts relating to Electricity, Pollution, Town Planning, etc. The provisions of these acts and its corresponding state rules are applicable.
