Hello, We are starting a new onboarding and induction program in our organization and decided to do functional induction for DGM and above grades where functional heads from all the departments (HR, Finance, legal, SCM, etc) will come and talk about their functions.

I need help with regard to the points that functional heads can cover in their presentation.
Few points like....
1. Self-introduction
2. Team Hierarchy
3. Describing their functional etc....
4. How their function can be benefited to new joinee or for what new joinee can approaching them etc....

I need a few more points which I can add and ask the functional head to prepare his presentation on the specified topics.

Regards,
Jitesh Siddhu

Hi,

You can add further few points like

History and growth of the Company
Process flow followed in the Company
Contribution of the respective department towards growth of the Company
Challenges faced by respective departments and solution if any identified by them.

Dear Jitesh,

The additional points for the functional head(s): -

a) How their function contributes to customer satisfaction
b) How their function contributes to the business
c) On what parameters do they measure the performance of their department? Which is the primary ratio or cost?
d) Quality journey of their department. "Quality journey" means what are the milestones attained by the department in improving the quality of their department.

Additional suggestion: - The functional head can give one-time presentation. A video recording of it can be done. So that every time they do not have to come personally and present the same thing.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
