Friends,
Would anyone be able to enumerate topics to be included as part of curriculum for spoken english for children aged 5 to 12 years? I intend to start spoken english classes for children and plan on developing my own curriculum, hence would appreciate if i could get guidelines as to what all to include in it.
Also, the same for etiquette training and communication skills for children.I want to be able to deliver a perfectly professional and serious module which would prepare the kids really well to speak fluently, communicate well and be appreciated for their etiquette..

May we know what your background is? How large will be your classes and whether it will be for mixed age group from 5 to 12? Please access How to Improve Spoken English: Spoken English Exercises for Children which has some useful tips.
Also, kindly read material at How young children learn English as another language | LearnEnglish Kids | British Council <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) and digest its content about how children learn.

Dear Nashbramhall,
Thankyou for your prompt response.I am a pre primary teacher at one of the preschools in Mumbai.Have only just started to work on this idea and would welcome advice as to what age groups could ideally be clubbed together in a class..
Had a look at the website and found it very helpful..
Would it be possible to help me with some information on etiquette training and communication skills as well?

Please search the web; that's what I did to give links in my previous post. I searched and found this link Game Ideas for Children 6-8 Years of Age | eHow.com at Google

Simhan is right. There is loads of stuff on teaching English and language games - for all types - spoken, written, listening, reading. The British Council Library now has an online membership option which will deliver and pick up books. They have a lot of books on the subject too.
Hope you manage to find what you need to plan your curriculum. Just remember to stay with the sequence of LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)
All the best!
