Hi Swetha,
Myslef AMit Seth working with an IT company in AHmedabad. Its not necessary that you must have a degree with a Premier Inst. to make a career in corporate. As you have experience now so you can apply directly to corporates over their sites.
Otherwise you register yourself with some popular job sites and place your CV with good consultancies. I am sure you will definitely get the result.
Wish You All The Best.

Hi Shweta,
Being from a premier institute is an advantage, but not the sole criteria for achieving ones dreams.
Most corporates look for relevant experience and talent, which is not institute specific.
With the right skills and attitude, there is no stopping you, lady :)
If we hone up our skills,HR and interpersonal, keep ourselves updated about the industry news and keep a learning attitude, we can achieve a lot.
The 1-2 years that you'l soend in your current company, try to learn as much as possible. One advantage that you'l hav is that you can experiment with ideas- you'l have lesser number of employees to administer them to.
Also, small companies and start ups require HR functions to be developed and implemented from scratch, which gives awesome handon experience.
So all the best.
:)

Hi Swetha,
It doesn't matter about your MBA Institute, only thing that matters are the interactive and psychological skills you posses.
Try to interact more with the people starting from top to bottom level and take a trial before you implement your ideas.

Premier institutes help you get the first big break and also help you with the network.
Now, if you didn't go to one of those, you will have to prove in other ways that you are equally capable and driven. Challenge, yes, impossible, no.
Also after you've worked for a couple of years, your previous jobs and what you did there becomes more important. Think of bringing other 'merit signals' into your resume such as great performance in a company, awards, promotions, unique contribution - anything that shows others how great you are.
