Dear Colleague,
The Nominee under the EPF/ EPS can claim PF, EDLI and EPS on line through the employer where the deceased employee worked lastly.

Document Required

A) Death certificate, in case the application is by the nominee/surviving family members or their guardian/legal heirs after the death of the member.

B)If Nomination Form is already existing in the name of the Family members then company of Nomination Form. If it is On line ( E-Nomination) then it will be available in the EPFO Portal itself and there will be easier settlement. If there is no valid nomination then Legal Heirship Certificate issued by Revenue Official. If there is no valid documents mentioned line Nomination / Legal Heirship then Guardianship certificate issued by a competent court of law, if the application is forwarded by a guardian other than the natural guardian of minor member/nominee/family member/legal heir


C) Cancelled cheque so that the payment may be sent through ECS in the claimant’s account

D) First page of the Bank Pass Book in any Nationalized Bank listed by EPFO

D)EPF Form 5 IF for claiming the benefits under the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) if the member dies while in service

E) EPF Form 10D for claiming the pension benefits such as widow pension, children pension and orphan pension

F) EPF Form 10C for pension withdrawal in case the member has died after 58 years of age and has not completed 10 years of service as on the date of crossing 58 years age.
