Can you confirm me about Salary Register (Form-X) whether it is presently needed for statutory obligation or not?

It is essential to maintain salary/wage register not necessary in big register hand written, but soft copy showing earning side , deduction side and net salary. In case of any inspector visit from any statutory body, the essential documents are employee register, salary/wage register etc. etc.

West Bengal Factory Rules does not have any form called Form X
In fact all the forms under factories rules are numerical
Form 10, on the other hand, is Register of Compensatory Holidays.
If you are thinking of Form X in West Bengal Shop and Establishment Act, then that does not apply to your factory. It will apply if you have an office separate from your factory but only to those working in the office in that case.
In factory you need to maintain Wage Register as per Payment of Wages Act and Minimum Wages act. If there are not formats in both, then you may maintain it in any convenient manner giving all details.
Hope this helps
