Dear Sir/Madam,

1. Does NCP (Non-Contributory Period) relate to “EPF” (or) “EPS”.

2. If an employee joins on 16/09/2021 and payday is 15 days in September 2021, Is NCP (Non-Contributory Period) “ZERO” (or) “15 DAYS”.

3. If an employee exits on 12/09/2021 and payday is 12 days in September 2021, Is NCP (Non-Contributory Period) “ZERO” or “18 DAYS”.

I think non-contributory period refers to the period when the person is working for you but he has not been paid. So in that case, the above are not NCP

Those will be time when the employee is leave without pay.

NCP days means the days in which employee had not contributed in EPF scheme. E.G. for any reason employee had absent and salary not generated, if employee has left one service and join another service after few days, or if any period between two service during PF was not contributed

NCP This comes when you are Filling the PF form it is the number of days a employee is absent to the job in a particular month its simply means non contributory period it means the day for which the employer will not pay the employee because he/she was absent

A employer who recruits employees on Monthly contract basis depend on the works he gets or tender allotted , if the employer doesn't get any contract tender work for two months. Then the employer can show Zero NCP days of their employees. Coz the employer he him self does not have any work where he can deploy the employees for work.

In that both case (Late DOJ and Early DOL within month) NCP days Shuold be zero becasue as per Pension calculation sheet by EPFO they consider total period of service from Date of Joining to Date of leaving. In that case NCP days they count as we fill in ECR upload file. Hence for pensioner benefit it should be ZERO NCP days.
