Dear Friends,
Any history of HRD movement of India would be incomplete and irrelevant without contributions of late Dr. Udai Pareek.
Popularly known as “Pioneer of HRD in India” and "Father of HRD movement of India," Dr. Udai Pareek was also associated with BM since early days as hon’y Editorial Advisor. He was the man who changed the thought process of many organizations and individuals. He influenced the life of thousands of HR professionals as mentor, coacher and scholar, who kept in touch with worlds - academic, industry, management and research.
Whenever we met, he shared his concern about the image of HR professionals in the country and growing need of HR professionals to become a strategic partner in business and so on. When we published a survey report in Nov. 2006 issue carried out by us about image of HR people amongst the employees that 53% of employees dislike HR, he was very much concerned. He took up this issue at national level during many conferences and also wrote on his blog.
Whole the life, he lived every moment for HR profession. As earlier said, we may get many intellectuals, thinkers and high profile managers but what is needed is to be a great person with humility like Udai Ji. BM always received his guidance, love and affection.
Anniversary issue of BM as we enter into 13th year is dedicated to Dr. Udai Pareek as a tribute to him.
