I m doing my winter project on designing a training program for first-line managers age group is 30yrs with few members having 8-10yrs work experience. Its a marketing firm. Can you please help with how to go about it and which training methods to include.

Hi Riya,
You first need to indentify which 'Training' is needed. Clarify what you would train them on. Parameters such as 'Assertive sales' or 'Keeping your cool' or 'Managing Juniors' etc can help since they are experienced and belong to marketing function.
For this you shall have to talk to their HOD's or superiors.
Next you shall have to find a trainer who can impart the required training. Ensure the trainer you select is an established, experienced and influential. If budget is not a problem, then you should hire an experienced and well established trainer.
Next you shall have to confirm the course outcome with the HOD's on the line of what course outline the trainer provides you with. This will help in the Training Effectiveness and also impart knowledge to the Marketing people.
Next arrange for the training administration like Projectors, Laptops, Writing supplements, White board, Marker and dusters, speakers etc. For this, you need to confirm with the Trainer.
Meanwhile you need to see if the training can be done inhouse or you need to arrange for outdoor training like in a hotels' conference room or the trainer needs an open air like place. Hence, accordingly arrange for food/snacks/tea - coffee for trainees and the trainers.
