Hi All,
I don,t know what is the actual situation in India regarding P.Fund but in Pakistan It is clear that P.fund contribution is 8.33% of Basic pay and same contribution pay employer in P.fund account.
So If Basic pay is RS: 6500/-month then deduction of P.fund contribution will be as under:
Employee Contribution: 6500*8.33%=541.45
Employer Contribution: = 541.45
as basic will increase Pf will increase automatically with same ratio and I think that there is no maximum Limit of P.Fund Its depends of Company Size and its policies, Some companies paying both P.fund and Gratuity.

hai,
i tell u based on my knowledge.
it is in 2 types.
The maxi.amount was decided by company. They may take 6500 basic mix.6500*12% or basic *12%(what ever the basic)
1).The max. amount of PF deduction from the employer side is Rs. 780/- {6500 (Basic pay) / 12% = 780}.and the equal amount deducted from employee side. The total is 780 + 780 = 1560/-
2). second one basic * 12%
May be ur company follows basic * 12%.

Maximum PF can be deducted 12% from employer on Basic and DA . but if employer want on ceiling amount . it we will be deducted on Rs. 6500/- IE Rs. 780 per month. but employee can deduct his share as much as he wants as VPF.
Calculation is below :- IN EPF Employer's Share 3.67 % and Employees 12% and for Pension Employer Share 8.33%.
Employer can Opt Ceiling Amount of Rs. 6500/- for Deduction.

Hi,
There is no such limits mentioned but from Employer side when you bifurcate the 12% in 3.67% as Employers PF & 8.33% as Employers Pension, if basic amount is more 6500 then you need to transfer the 541 in Pension fund and remaining to PF.
Hope it clears your doubts.

Statutory deduction is 12% from employee but the employee have an option to contribute voluntarily to any extent (without affecting his carryhome pay) nearly 24% or more - whereas the company contribution is restricted to 12%. In this case, you have to obtain a letter from such employee informing PF Commissioner through the management under copy to the managemet.

Dear Member,
PF deduction is based on Basic and DA and ceiling amount is Rs. 6500/- @12%.
With new amendment PF will be deducted on Basic Plus DA and all the other allowance except conveyance. ( bill yet to be passed)
If a company want they can deduct PF on total Basic and DA amount @12% and also if employee wasts he can deduct 12% VPF @12 % from Basic and DA..
Thanks .
