Process Mapping is basically a high funda word for PFD ,ie Proces Flow Diagrams, which are pretty familiar to engg. students (though im not 1 of them). Just start from the basics..start with what runs an Udipi joint.
Divide the whole stuff into smaller modules n it'll be easier to draw a PFD then. Like Kitchen, Counter, Service, Dsiposals, Accounts & Inventory.
Just a broad idea though it can be done by various methods.

hi sunayna,
when there is no option than the said two subjcts, better u go for 'International Finance'. Some portions may be old, but one cannot simply strike off the whole subject saying that it is old.. Certainly, In these days of LPG, I think, an exposure to 'International Finance' will still be helpful.

AS a profession i am doing Job As an Administrator in wellknown software house of pakistan.I have also done BCS.Bearing these points ,how is my combination of degrees and how much i can give out put to organization .What is Hr profession procpectus in next 10 years.
What should be average salary of Fresh HR professional and with the time passing what shuld be the domain of salary.
For becoming real professional in this feild what are areas that must be very strong.kindly point out.
In the end please give sites and link of famous HR Magazine who provide facilites to send magazine at your door.

As you are working in Software company, I can give you some points you need to be extra strong in
1. Recruitment [with every new project, the strength has to employed within the stipulated time period, that needs very good recruitment skills]
2. Retention [You should be aware of the latest retention practices, as in software companies retention is considered to be one of the toughest jobs]
3. Salary Package Designing [The least discussed subject, but most important in case of recruitment, the candidate might refuse your offer if the salary has not been designed in a manner which he can easily relate to his current income]
Further to this, you need to design and update the Induction and training programmes... I have listed only few of the important points you need to be expert on to succeed in the field
As for the salary, I think that it is around 20% lower than the technical people [Software Developers] at junior levels but once you reach the middle management / senior management, the package is more or less similar.

Though you might have a slight advantage over an MBA without SAP / Oracle knowledge if the company that you apply for is using any of this products, I think that the advantage won't be very high...
The reasons are that HR professional just needs to use the readymade packages, which is quite easy for an educated person to adapt within a short time... Second is that company is more interested in persons who would have strong knowledge and skills in their on functional areas, additional skills are just to differentiate persons but are not the basic selection criteria.
As for the second question, it would be unfair to say that one job is more challenging than other and that you might learn more from other jobs... and more so when you are trying to compare these three MNC / BPO and software..
I would suggest that you select in following order [this is for career development and not for learning as you will be learning a lot in all three types of industry]
1. MNC [if the company is big enough and salary / growth oppurtunities are clearly defined]
2. Software
3. BPO [In case it is a big MNC BPO, consider it as MNC at No.1]
