I got an offer from my previous company who had removed me and wants me to rejoin. I would be ready to rejoin if they give an official call. If they cannot call me, then it's better to offer me a job working from home. I came to know about this through a mediator, but I am not convinced by the way of approach. It's a job placement consultancy. Even remote access is not an issue for me.

First things first: To all and everyone, never ever work to "impress" your boss, for that matter never work to "impress anyone" because you can't do it all the time, which again means you need to fake, manipulate, etc. Even if you have the stuff in you "impression management" will ensure you are reduced to stress, as you do things which are not normal.
Next to the query, I guess it should have been "How to express myself to the boss to impress upon him that I be granted permission to work from home. This is my interpretation of "How to impress your boss to work from home; Steps to impress your boss to work from home."
Now coming to the actual issues: You wrote "was removed by my previous co., now my previous co wants me to rejoin the company, but they haven't called me via phone nor through emails and told me, Meena please come and join the company, they always told me through indirect sources which is only a hint to me. I told them to make a call or make someone from your company to call if they want me to join the company, so that I can make the decision. If they cannot approach directly to me I told them to give me some job so that I can work from home since it is a job placement company and with the pay, I can satisfy my basic needs. Still, I haven't got any response. I have sent the mail stating, "Do you want me to rejoin the company?" No reply from their side, and I am jobless right now, Mr. Head Hunter."
1. To quote you, "was removed by my previous co.," If this was during a downturn for cost reduction, this is acceptable, but for any other reason then it's not in your favor, hence you need to doubt this statement "now my previous co wants me to rejoin the company." If there is an intermediate, emissary, or a consultant, friend whoever, here then there is a "bluff."
If it is true then the company's management is steeped into "hypocrisy" then it's not a culturally good company. I wonder if you read Steve Jobs's Biography authored by Walter Isaacson. It really was a super book of an amazing man called "Steve Jobs." He writes, "Steve was filled with contradictions. He was a counterculture rebel who became a billionaire. He eschewed material objects yet made objects of desire. He talked, at times, about how he wrestled with these contradictions. His counterculture background combined with his love of electronics and business was key to the products he created. They combined artistry and technology." In that, you will see how ruthless he was with all his relationships. I quoted this because if they were serious about what they were doing and you were one who could add great value, then they would have come to talk to you directly and also agreed to all conditions you've placed on them.
2. The rest of what you've written suggests nothing encouraging either.
3. Now coming to the main aspect, and this again is an assumption, that there is something that seriously demands your being at home, yet another side wanting to work, and the formula being worked out, therefore is to "work from home." As far as my experience goes, only seriously great technical architects, product builders, etc., are given this liberty. I've known several such people with whom I am still in touch with and there is one who works for us too in this manner for 13 years now; first, she worked out of her house in Bangalore then now she is working out of Noida.
Putting all these things together, I would strongly suggest that you come off the "illusion" and begin to lay out plans as to what exactly you would want to do.

Just don't give nonsense suggestions. We are not puppets; when they want, they will take out; when they want me back, they want me to join their company. I am still not convinced by the way they approach things. A thousand times I told them to come for a direct conversation, let's discuss that, but they are not stopping their dramas at all. They are similar to the person who is Rashi's mother from "Sathiya" on Star Plus channel. "Samjha samjha kar tak gayi."
