Ayan and Nirav, thank you for the knowledge share. Can anyone here explain to me why employee contribution is 12% on Basic, but in many CTC structures, I could see Employer contribution as 6% on CTC? I have visited a few sites where it shows that both Employee and Employer contribute 12% on Basic.
For example, if the basic of XYZ is 13000, the employee contribution is 12% of 13000, which is 1560. However, the employer contribution is not the same as seen in one of the CTC structures. Can anyone explain to me how and why?
