This is the answer.
Cut the gold in 3 parts 1 cm, 2 cm & 3 cm,
1st day - give 1 cm
2nd Day - give 2 cm and take 1 cm back
3rd day - give 3 cm and take 2 cm back
4th day - give 1 cm
5th day - take back 1 cm and give 2 cm
6th day - give 1 cm
after that kill the man and eat him for dinner. You get the gold back too. lol ;)

first fill the 3 litre bottle and pour it into 5 litre bottle.
do the same thing again until 5 litre bottle getting filled.
then empty the 5 litre bottle and pour the balance 1 litre
into it from the 3 litre bottle.
again fill the 3 litre bottle and pour it into the 5 litre bottle..!!!
now the 5 litre bottle would have exactly 4 litres of water..!
am i correct..?!

Dea all,
The puzzle has the following solution:
Fill the 5 litre bottle and pour 3 litre into the other bottle. Now you have 2 litre water in th3 5 litre bottle. Empty the 3 litre bottle and put the 2 litre water from the 5 litre bottle into it.
Now fill the 5 litre bottle again and then pour water into the 3 litre bottle to fill it completely. You will be left with 4 litre in the 5 litre bottle.

u fill the 3 litre bottle and pour the same into 5 litre...so now u have 3 liters of water in 5 liter bottle and 2 liters are free in same bottle...
again fill the 3 liter bottle and pour till the 5 litre bottle gets fully filled ... tht means u have 5 litre water in the bigger bottle and 1 litre in 3 litre bottle...
then empty the 5 litre bottle completely (Now u have 0 litres in 5 liter bottle and 1 ltr in 3 litre bottle). pour this 1 litr in 5 lit bottle. again fill the 3 litre bottle and empty it into 5 litre bottle............. U WILL GET 4 LITRE WATER

Another way is - fill 5 lit bottle to full. Pour the water in to 3 lit till full. Balance is 2 lit. Pour away half of the balnace from the 5 lit bottle( 1lit ) and then retransfer the water from 3 lit bottle.
