1. Basic Salary – This component amount will be calculated as 50% on CTC. This % will vary from company to company . Minimum 30 % and Maximum 60%. It depends on company norms.
2. HRA – It will be 50% of basic in case of Metro Cities and 40% in case of Non Metro Cities. It is fixed.
3. Conveyance Allowance – Rs. 800 P.M is exempted (9600 P.A), above 800 is Taxable.
4. Medical Allowance – Rs. 1250 P.M (15000 P.A) is fixed and fully Taxable.
5. Special allowance – It is the balancing figure of CTC.

Food / tea / snacks provided to an employee will not form a part of his salary.
Food subsidy and peformance linked compensation is not wages under EPF Act.
