Hi Polumi, this is Smitha. I am an SAP HR professional working in Chennai. SAP HR has a great demand in the market. If you're interested in doing the course and if you're serious about it, go ahead. But remember one thing: it's not easy to do a job and get trained in SAP. You have to invest a lot of time in it, and getting a job in the SAP field is also challenging. I'm not trying to scare you, but I want you to know the difficulties that I faced when joining the course. Good luck to you, my friend. Bye.
Dear Smitha,
I am also interested in doing the SAP HR course. I too have heard that it is very difficult to get a SAP job as a fresher. Can you kindly share with me what kind of difficulties you faced in getting a job? This will help me make a better decision.
Thanks,
Parikshit

Hi Polumi,
I have completed some practical training and changed my job before its final phase. Everything I did was only on the development server. Now, I want to transition into SAP HR. Please advise on how I can make this possible. Let's focus on the solutions and not the difficulties.

Dear Smitha,
Like other HR friends, I would like to pursue the SAP-HR course. I inquired about the course details from Genovate (I) Pvt Ltd. and found out that the fee for the course is around 1.65 lakhs. The duration of the course is 200 hours. Now, I would like to get your opinion on whether investing such a significant amount of money and time is worth it or not. Can you assist me with this?
Thanks

Hi,
You can do SAP training from reputable institutes like Genovate and Siemens. After that, you can definitely get a break as a fresher in some rollout or support project in any SAP company.

Hi Gopal,
Thank you very much for sending me the SAP HR docs. However, at the moment, I cannot afford Rs. 2,50,000. I am wondering if I will be able to secure a job if I take the training from a smaller institute.

SAP, started in 1972 by five former IBM employees in Mannheim, Germany, states that it is the world's largest inter-enterprise software company and the world's fourth-largest independent software supplier overall.
The original name for SAP was German: Systeme, Anwendungen, Produkte, German for "Systems Applications and Products." The original SAP idea was to provide customers with the ability to interact with a common corporate database for a comprehensive range of applications. Gradually, the applications have been assembled, and today many corporations, including IBM and Microsoft, are using SAP products to run their businesses.
SAP applications, built around their latest R/3 system, provide the capability to manage financial, asset, and cost accounting, production operations and materials, personnel, plants, and archived documents. The R/3 system runs on a number of platforms including Windows 2000 and uses the client/server model. The latest version of R/3 includes a comprehensive Internet-enabled package.
As of January 2007, SAP, a publicly traded company, had over 38,400 employees in over 50 countries, and more than 36,200 customers worldwide. SAP is turning its attention to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB). A recent R/3 version was provided for IBM's AS/400 platform.
With SAP All-in-One solutions, small and midsize companies gain the power of the world's most successful business suite. There's no need to piece together hard-to-integrate solutions or customize rigid applications. You can automate critical business processes quickly with these prepackaged solutions tailored to your unique business needs.
Take care

Hi Paulomi,
SAP has a great scope in any department. It's basically an ERP that all the big companies have started using. If you're already trained in SAP, then you really have good chances of getting into companies that work with SAP. Genovate is one of the best institutes for SAP.
However, there are companies that provide training on this software once you join them. In that case, they'll ask you to sign a bond. It's not always necessary to take this course because not all companies work with SAP. But if you know how to work with SAP, it will certainly be a great advantage in the future.
I hope this information helps you.
Thanks & Regards,
