Hi Shobana, Jayavel, and Sanjay,

I have recently joined a software company that has 100+ employees in total. My senior HR is on maternity leave. She didn't clearly explain the HR processes to me. I'm new to the HR world and I sometimes feel totally lost. I want to know how to proceed with tasks and what I should avoid doing. It would be great to have a mentor or someone to guide me. I hope you can help me.

Hi Shobana,

Greetings for the day!

I would like to introduce myself as Keshava. I am joining as a Manager HR in a company, so I am attending an interview within this week. Please, can you guide me on what are all the possible interview questions and what activities are involved in day-to-day administration? The main thing I want to know is information about PF & ESI, how to calculate the compensation package, including the salary breakup for, say, Rs. 10,000 per month, and at what percentage the PF, ESI, and Tax are calculated?

Please guide me. Take care, have a good day!

Warm regards, Keshava

Hi,

Hope everyone is doing well.

In our company, we are planning to start a few team-building activities for the employees. So, please help me with this. It is very important that these activities should not include a high budget; anything low-cost should be fine.

I hope you would assist me with this.

Thanks in advance!

The above-mentioned things are general. If your firm is in manufacturing, it means you will concentrate a lot on PF, ESI, Gratuity, TNPCB, PT, TDS, and IR-related matters, all of which are very important. One is Shobana.

If there are any urgent matters, please keep in touch through mobile or email.

You can use the search facility here on CiteHR to find information about meetings posted by other members. It is a regular question here. The search facility is at the top of the page next to the CiteHR logo.

For courses on this subject in the USA, your best bet is to google it, or you could talk to the various training organizations in your local area. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
