Dear Kundu,

Nice work. However, some small changes are needed for personnel downloading this presentation. The pump capacity and Jockey pump capacity do not need to be the same. We have main pumps with a capacity of 1000 m3/hr and Jockey pumps with a capacity of 350 m3/hr.

Additionally, the pressure of 7kg/cm should be at the remotest end. The water reservoir's size is not dependent on the pumps but is calculated based on the water requirement for fighting two major fires for 6 hours.

Therefore, I recommend that this presentation requires minor technical modifications. Let us be prepared for any questions regarding the technical details.

Best Regards

Hi, Mr. Rao,

Very nice topic for a PowerPoint presentation. It is very useful in every organization for employees and also for family, society, our property, and human life, etc. If we are not aware of it, we can lose many things. So, awareness about fire safety is very important for each person to save lives and belongings.

Dear Neeraj,

Nice one. But small changes are needed for personnel downloading this presentation. Pump capacity and Jockey pump capacity need not be the same. We have 1000 m3/hr main pumps and 350 m3/hr Jockey pumps.

Secondly, 7kg/cm should be at the remotest end.

Water reservoir does not depend on pumps but is calculated based on water requirement for fighting two major fires for 6 hours.

So I would suggest that this presentation needs minor modifications as far as technicality is concerned. Let us be prepared for - if someone asks WHY?

Best Regards

You have correctly brought out the relevant points as there cannot be a fixed template - it will vary with the variables of each site and requirement. Anyway, the details covered by the PPT are adequate and can be modified as per requirements. The comparison to "bananas" - not understood.

Hi to all seniors,

My office size is 1800 sq. feet on the 1st floor, and the ground floor is 400 sq. feet. On the 1st floor, we have 10 computers and an administration office.

Could you please advise on the type, quantity, and size of fire extinguishers that should be used in this space? I would appreciate a clear description.

Thank you.

As per IS 2190, you have to provide 1 fire extinguisher within every 25 sq feet. You may use CO2 multi-purpose extinguishers of 2, 3 & 4.5 kgs according to the above calculation.

For home and labor camps, you can use the above and water type.
