Watching you from across the room
sends searing pain through my heart.
I think back to a year ago,
when I thought we'd never part.
My love for you just won't die down -
it just grows with each new day.
I wish you'd dare to look at me
and hear what I have to say;
"I love you and I want you back - "
but these words you just won't hear.
You don't seem to remember them -
all the memories I hold dear.
You were my first kiss, my first love
and now you don't even care.
How could you just blow it away?
We were the perfect pair.
you seem content to let me go -
You're doing fine as you are,
while I'm still missing how we were.
We had the best love by far.

In haste, we slip away from the crowd,
I ask for your soul to mingle with mine
to re-capture a noonday of long ago,
when you made my blue eyes shine.
A thousand love songs I write, all for you;
a thousand emotions pour from my heart.
A great love like this love,
is the rarest kind; we found our magic
in the glow of a star.
We walk through meadows of Persian jewels,
Love-in-a-Mist...Nigella flowers
Together we leave the world behind,
to re-capture those sweet sunny hours.

My love is like an ocean
It goes down so deep
My love is like a rose
Whose beauty you want to keep.
My love is like a river
That will never end
My love is like a dove
With a beautiful message to send.
My love is like a song
That goes on and on forever
My love is like a prisoner
It's to you that I surrender.

It breaks my heart to know that you love another,
I though that you and I were made for each other,
But you never saw it; even though you knew,
That I had and have completely fallen for you,
I’m smitten by your looks and the way you smile,
You’re a really nice guy to anyone around and you have a great style,
When you walk near me now I try to look away,
Because I know you love another and it hurts me in a way,
But just so you know, even if we never get together,
I will never forget you, my special friend and there will probably be others,
But you have a special place in my heart,
Forever

Suman-firstly, appreciation and thanks for a very nice post.
Why do people say Love hurts?
If it is that bad;
Why do people continue to seek relationships?
Why are so many people afraid to be alone?
Why do millions of people go to online dating sites to meet people if they don't want to be harmed by love?
The phrase "love hurts" is often misconstrued. I agree that there is a pain associated with the loss of love, but love itself does not hurt.
To the people who are afraid to get into relationships, dont think love will harm you. This is simply not true.
Think about it. When's the last time someone in love came up to you and said "This hurts so much." When is the last time you heard a mother say it hurt to love their child?
Overall, love does not hurt. It is the most beautiful emotion in the world. It binds, motivates and inspires people to come together. What hurts is losing it.

I completely agree with u prasad......... but when it breaks it hurts..........But love never ends and this is true......

Love is like a friendship caught on fire.
In the beginning a flame,
very pretty, often hot and fierce,
but still only light and flickering.
As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love
becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Thanks
Suman:)

It hurts to feel my heart

pounding, beating against

her heaving cage, desperate

to be close to you once more.

When I'm apart from you,

she wails and sighs to be

within sight of your blue eyes,

so that you can see how

your name burns within her

in such a way that she

actually begs for more,

all because you're the reason why

she smiles in all her nightime dreams

and cries when she wakes in the daylight,

when she wakes alone.

My heart yearns to be yours;

she's laid herself open and

defenseless, easy for the picking,

not even waiting to see

if your heart will take her place.

It hurts to feel my heart,

because I'm the reason why

you won't accept her yet.

I missed all the signs, the looks,

your secret desires for me,

and instead I let another man

who had no heart of his own to give,

break her in her weakened state and

all the desire you had for me.

The bruises are starting to fade,

but she still beats and wails,

hoping that she can break me

and finally be free to be yours;

in the darkness, she still screams your name,

waiting for you to be ready

to take her as she is.

And I sit here, writing,

hoping to pour my heart's essence

into the words of this poem,

desperate to not lose you again,

but so happy that I now

have a second chance to be yours.
