Hi
The idea of having a monthly newsletter is very effective.Just thought i should share with you what we do in my organization.
Since we are a relatively widespread company with our people in more then 100 countries over the world, we initially found it difficult to communicate with all, so we thought of something called GNP that is Great News Plan, this communication is in the form of a email to all employees on their official ids. This is a communication from the corporate commumnication group and mostly lays focus on the company growth and standing in the market, it includes write-ups from newspapers etc.
Besides which we have a quaterly newsletter that is published internally both on the intranet as well as in hardcopy which is made available in the library.Following is the info that is included in this:-
1.Activities and programs carried out internally with photographs.
2.New achievements and customer info
3.Write-ups from employees, personal and official
4.New borns info
5.Birthdays for the quater
6.New wed couples info
7.Write-ups from employees kids and family
Hope this helps

Hi,
Suggestion
- Use e-mail instead of hard copies.
- Use notice board as much as possible for those who do not have access to PC.
- Be simple as possible. Use graphics, photos, sketch and etc to convey your message.
Best of Luck.

Dear all,
First of all thanks a million to Gunjan who started this topic & to all the members who have posted their valuable suggestions to the issue under consideration.
I was in dire need to have some kind of a direction to start a newsletter in our company. The feedback given by Rahul, Pallavi, Sree, Khushnum, Devender among others have been particularly handy.
I wanted the members feedback on the undernoted points:-
1) In my opinion, the newsletter should act as a mouthpiece on behalf of the management & the employees & should cover news of general interest to employees (birthdays/achievements etc. etc.) & should not entail comprehensive info of the buisness which the employees can otherwise also have access to.
2) Is it worthwhile to launch a newsletter when the company's performance is on the downslide & the general atmosphere prevaling in the organisation is one of uncertainity?
3) What are the resources required in terms of manpower/expertise to work on the newsletter before its launch and after it is launched in an organization employing around 1100-1200 employees?
4) What is the ideal frequency of a newsletter? - Monthly/quarterly.......???
5) Is it sensible to terminate the practice of circulation of newsletter having begun once? Won't it send wrong signals???
I would be extremely grateful to have your feedback on the aforementioned queries & also sample newsletters you guys must have come across. (I have downloaded urs devender & I think its wonderful...... :) )
Thank you all,
- Archana

Try going on the microsoft word website a do a search for newsletter tempelates. It will give lots of tempelates which you use as a starting point of your newsletter.
