Dear Friend,
EPF Act clearly stipulates that if an establishment having employed 20 or more employees ,it is mandatory on the part of employer to get coverage under the Act. In this connection , your attention is drawn to Sec 1(3) of the Act.
It has got no connection with regard to salary of employees. The employees who are drawing salary not exceeding Rs 15,000/ per month (only basic & da ) shall be covered under EPF Act. Those who are drawing salary more than Rs 15,000/ per month (only basic & da) at the time of taking registration, shall be outside the purview of Act and they will be treated as excluded employees.
Any doubt please revert.
