Mr. Vaishak,
I am not here to find fault with someone, please understand. I also do typing a lot of mistakes while typing on the computer due to clogging of fingers and keys.
You can write seniors as seeniors or something by pressing "e" button twice without noticing it. But, writing seniors as "sinears" is not something I felt a typographical error.
In our HR field, we are required to sometimes prepare counter / rejoinder to be presented before legal forum. Therefore we guys must be very very strong in English, so that we can putforth our views crystal clear.
I am only telling people to develop those skills and nothing more, you understand?

Well, I do not have any valuable inputs to share regarding the sender's issue but I wish to put forth one matter which I hope would be worth sharing. you are free to support or criticise this opinion, I really do not mind..
No one in this world is perfect. The sender here may be weak in English vocabulary and also may need to touch upon basics of HR and other aspects, but I think it is not fair to give such an advice (specially by making fun) on this platform. It can be replied through a private message too. Perhaps the sender might have joined CiteHR mainly to start from the basics or learn many other things. Everyone of us are here to share and gain knowledge right? So why not maintain decency and courtesy while posting on a discussion? I am sorry I should not be saying all these here at such a great length but I felt it is necessary to be shared here.
Anyways, as far the Basic salary, ESI and PF matters that are discussed here are extremely useful. Thanks a lot for the valuable contribution. :)

Dear All,
Are there any Govt. Laws which specify the %age of total gross salary for Basic, HRA, LTA etc? I mean - Would I be breaking any laws if I have a Basic+DA as 30% of Gross? (Obviously this 30% would need to conform to the Min. Wages Act). Say I have a break-up as follows (All are %ages of Gross Salary) :
Basic - 30%
Conveyance - 10%
Medical reimbursement - 10%
Children's education allowance - 2%
Leave travel allowance - 5%
House rent allowance - 25%
Attire allowance - 3%
Special allowance - 15%
Does this fit in the "Law"?

Hi All,
I wanted to know how to calculate Tax on the following.
We have divided the employees into 2.Consultants and PF.
Consultants are the employees below 15000 and we deduct only 10.33% of there salary every month and they don't have PF and PT.
For PF is people with above 15000 and we calculate accordingly
Basic(40% of GS)
DA(20% of basic)
HRA(Basic+DA)*40%
Medical Allow 1250
Conveyance 800 and
Special Allow
We have fixed deduction of PF 780 and PT 200
Does this affect in Tax Calculation and is it right?
