In case of death of municipal corporation employee due to corona virus, is the employee entitled to compensation under the Compensation Act, 1923?
Is there a rule that a deceased employee has to serve in the municipal corporation for a certain number of months for the benefit of compensation?

Good discussion. I liked the responses by Madhu Sir.
If someone wants to establish that the death caused due to Covid 19 is contracted arising out of and in the course of employment then he has to go to the court and bring the judgement convincing it.
I agree with Prabhat Ranjan. The COVID 19 or any other epidemic disease may not be covered under the EC Act. And it can not be considered under Occupational Health Hazards. This pandemic is an unprecedented situation. No one thought of this situation. Law makers too.
