Dear Dipil,
Good Question coz in our plant too we stop people from using compressed air for not cleaning clothes than they ask us to give some alternate solution as calcine(fine powder gets deposited on cloths),so how to remove it.

That's not the correct way of cleaning the dresses. The compressed air get in contact with our eye means surely without fail our retina will get perforated if it get in contact with our ears means surely our ear drum will get perforated which may even lead to Vertigo also.
Atleast now onwards we should avoid cleaning our dresses with compressed air. We must instruct all the workers for not to use compressed air and they must clean it manually only.
While working they must use nose mask to avoid lungs infection.

Dear Mr. Bhaskar
I am fully agreeing with you... You are 100% right... Compressed Air is unsafe to use for cleaning... I hope you may be having an idea of worker who is exposed to cement loading and packing... He suppose to clean his body after every half an hour or so with this controlled supply of compressed air... Washing is not possible always...
So when we stop to do something, we should have much easier and parctical alternative or solution to suggest... So I am just in search of that... If you know the same please share... Or if any other forum members know the same please come forward...
Dear Hansa:- Let's hope to get a practical solution of the problem from our forum members...

Dear Mr.Dipil,
Sorry for my late reply. Normally in our plant the people involves in surface grinding of steel component requires cleaning of their cloth. This metal particles are loosely attached to cloth. We recently have arranged a cleaning booth. This booth have slots in all four wall sides through which compressed air passed at desirable pressure as to dislodge the particles. This works well. Hope this helps.

Dear SSM
Thanks for your reply.
In the case of Cleaning Booth also chances of particles to fly and come in contat with eyes or ears exisits na... So is this a full proof solution to the problem... Still we are using compressed air for cleaning...
If its possible please share the photographs of the arragement for better understanding...

How about providing the Uniforms to the workmen??
Here we have to give them the two sets of Uniform for them as like overall (dongry) and face mosk shoes and gloves as a factory dress kit, which can be used for wearing while working in factory and they can clean it alternate day or weekly basis.
I hope that's the only way available.

Dear dipil,

I don’t have any industrial experience first of all i am not face this kind of problems in construction (some buddy had same problem in construction but i am not yet faced the same). However i am willing to learn i go through Mr.SSM command agreed with his previous post it was worked successfully in lot of industrys. I had seen the same method in FORD India limited which is located in Tamilnadu (Maraimalai nagar). Already i was sending mail to my friend who was worked in ford but it’s not possible to get any picture (due to company policy). If i get any information will share with us.

Team,

Please go through below links its works in overseas but I hope it’s not suitable for Indian industries because it’s too expensive, power saving problem, cost etc…, In second link u get demo video about cleaning booth.

Dear Mr. Dipil,
The force of the air comes out of the slots is not as much as comes out of a air gun jet. I will send you the photos latter that may be of your help for better understanding.
