I need suggestions & ideas for my plan.
I planned to start a company on my own.
I got a conversion project from one of my friend.
It is a conversion project (.pdf to XML).
He said atleast you should show a small set up (about 15-20 members with infrastructure) to get that project from his MD.
So I included three of my friends in this project (like partnership).
We planned & worked out the necessary things to start the project.
Now what I need is:
What are the legal formalities to start the company?
Whether I hav to register this?
What is the procedure to keep the business succesfully?
Where can I get the sources to develop the business?
What are the DO's & DONT's?
Whether is this a risky one (coz we all working in different companies but in IT)?.
Pl tell me your views regarding this issue?

Congrats on your new venture. One sugestion I would give you is to check the credentiality of the company who agrees to pay you on the completion of the project. Coz soem of my friends had an idea of starting a domestic BPO as they were approached by soke mumbai based company which promised huge returns on succesful completion of the projects. But when they enquired with some known Laywers about the authenticity of the company they were able to find out that the company was actually closed some three years back. Now they have initiated a Sec 420 case on them which is still pending.
I urge you to check for the authenticity of the comnpany, their previous payment history, their credibility, etc and then proceed.
I am ataching one document that would give some idea about starting a Private Ltd Company.
Read it through and post your queries. Will try to answer them.
