Dear All, Little confused about the safety officer requirement. It is as per the number mentioned in the factory license or according to the actual number of people. (means 1000 numbers is for what ?)

You should a safety officer when 1000 employees are ordinary employed. It is not required just because the licence is for 1000 employees. But in respect of factories wherein hazardous operations are going on, the government will notify that that factory should have a safety officer without reference to the number of employees ordinarily employed.
